DIY Solutions for Dandruff and Flaky Scalp

Orange peel
Orange peel has antibacterial properties that can effectively deal with the infection that can further lead to bacteria. It works more effectively with coconut milk.
For effective use, first part your hair into sections. Take a glass bowl and mix two tablespoons of powdered orange peel and four to five tablespoons of coconut milk. Gently massage your scalp with this mixture, cover it with a shower cap, and leave it for at least two hours. Take a shower and apply the conditioner. Apply this mixture weekly. You should be able to get rid of dandruff in a few weeks.
Green tea
Green tea is one of the greatest DIY solutions for dandruff, and it helps stimulating hair growth. It has several nutrients and antioxidants which protect your hair from dandruff, fungus, bacteria, and sun damage. Green tea contains caffeine that goes deep down the hair follicles and, therefore, encourages it to grow.
First, apply shampoo and conditioner on your hair and then leave it damp. Then, spray green tea on your scalp area and massage it thoroughly. Cover hair with a plastic shower cap and leave it as it is for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, rinse your hair with cold water.
Fenugreek seeds
A fungus is an element that can damage your scalp by causing dandruff. And fenugreek seeds contain a defensive component to counter fungi. It has antifungal and antibacterial properties that can help you get rid of fungi.
Firstly, soak two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in water overnight and then make a smooth paste. Apply this to your hair and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair with a mild shampoo and cold water and apply conditioner thereafter.
Olive oil
It soothes flaking and provides moisture to dry scalp. It has antibacterial and antioxidant properties which are efficient in comprehensively cleaning your hair. It further unclogs the follicles in your hair by dissolving all grime, dirt, and excess oil, which may further leads to dandruff.
In a bowl, make a mixture of two tablespoons of olive oil and a beaten egg white. It is recommended that you use a cold egg so that the egg smell can be contained.
Massage your scalp thoroughly with this mixture and then cover your hair with a shower cap. Leave the mixture for 20 minutes and then rinse your hair with a mild shampoo. Don’t forget to add the conditioner.
